OBJECTIVES OF MANASA

Dear All

Manasa do have specific objectives to cater the needs of its targeted groups which includes:

ü  To run Day - Care Centers, Special Schools and Residential Homes for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities,

ü To enroll students of all levels of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities in the Special School,  

üTo impart free Special Educational and Vocational Training to the Students to the maximum extent possible,

ü To provide transport facility to students to enable them to attend the Special School / Day Care Centre,

ü To work for the mainstreaming of the Children with Intellectual Disabilities into Normal School,

ü To create Awareness among the People in respect of causes and consequences of Intellectual Disabilities,

ü  To work for the creation of Barrier Free Environment,

ü  To work for the Prevention of Disabilities, 

ü To conduct trainings, workshops and seminars for the Parents, Siblings, Family Members, Teachers (both Normal & Special), Grass Root Workers, Paramedical Professionals and other Community Members.

ü  To network and facilitate for availing the schemes and benefits for the PIDs, 

ü  To work with Government, Private, Industries, Corporate, Public, Funding Agencies both National & International and other Stakeholders to mobilize matching resources and funding for the sustainability of the Organization and further to reach the unreached with need based strategies / interventions

ü  Any other need based services / supports for the targeted groups matching to its vision and mission.
